A Note from Bob Ingham: Year-End Reflections and New Year Aspirations
As I reflect on the joy and wonder of the 2022 holiday season, I am inspired by a history-making achievement that occurred during a holiday season more than 50 years ago.
On Dec. 15, 1965, U.S. astronauts aboard Gemini VI and Gemini VII maneuvered their two orbiting spacecrafts within a few feet of each other and then proceeded to fly in formation for about five hours. It was the first time in human history such a feat had been performed and it made later moon landings possible.
A few hours later, on Dec. 16, the two astronauts aboard the Gemini VI performed “Jingle Bells” for Mission Control. The moment was a culmination of engineering excellence, steadfast problem-solving, jubilant rejoicing and holiday spirit.
As we look back on 2022, there is also much to be merry about. Although this past year has been challenging — with supply chain difficulties and global unrest among the adversities — it has also been an incredibly rewarding year.
Things got off to a strong start with WPMA in February in Las Vegas. Then, the M-PACT trade show celebrated its 20th anniversary in April. The PEI Convention at the NACS Show topped things off in October with one of the most successful conventions in recent memory. The energy at the show was infectious, and it was so gratifying to connect with so many of our customers.
Furthermore, the PEI Women Conference in May was thoroughly uplifting. The event featured numerous speakers who shared powerful insights of professional and personal development. We are extremely proud to have been the Coffee Break Sponsor for the conference, which drew women from across the country.
Looking ahead, there will be much to celebrate in the new year: PetroClear will observe its 25th anniversary in 2023. As a Champion Laboratories, Inc. brand, this PetroClear milestone honors more than 60 years of filtration excellence first piloted by Champion Laboratories. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our customers for a quarter century, and we look forward to our continued partnerships that supply quality fuel to retail and commercial end-users.
